→Trivia
- The film is an adaptation of a Bengali novel titled 'Yatra' by Samaresh Basu, which was also adapted into a Bengali film by the same director.
- Nana Patekar's character, a writer, was partly inspired by the real-life Marathi writer and poet P. L. Deshpande, known for his travelogues.
- The movie was shot on location in Delhi and Kolkata, capturing the changing urban landscapes of both cities in the mid-2000s.
- Director Goutam Ghose is known for his parallel cinema in Bengali, and this was one of his few Hindi-language films aimed at a wider audience.
- The mujra sequences in the film feature classical-based songs composed by Ghose himself, blending traditional styles with contemporary settings.
- It had a limited theatrical release and was later showcased at international film festivals focusing on Indian independent cinema.
- The film explores the theme of nostalgia and transformation, mirroring the decline of traditional performance arts like mujra in modern India.
