Trivia
- The film's director, Mohan Singh Rathor, had previously worked primarily as an assistant director on several major films.
- This movie was one of the few early 2000s Bollywood films to feature a plot centered around a mistaken identity due to a train accident.
- Actor Mithun Chakraborty, who played the lead, was known for doing many films in this period, but this one had a relatively low-key release.
- The film's soundtrack was composed by Anand Raj Anand, who was popular for his work in more prominent films like 'Dil To Pagal Hai'.
- Despite having a dramatic plot, the movie did not perform well at the box office and is rarely discussed in mainstream Bollywood retrospectives.
- The child actor who played young Priya, Preeti Puri, appeared in only a handful of films before largely stepping away from acting.
- The title 'Hum Pyar Tumhi Se Kar Baithe' translates to 'We Fell in Love With You Only', which reflects the central romantic theme that develops later in the story.
