Trivia

  • The film's director Agathiyan is a famous Tamil filmmaker, and this was his only Hindi directorial venture.
  • The movie's title is a playful twist on the classic Bollywood song 'Hum Tumhe Chahte Hain Aise' from the 1981 film 'Kudrat'.
  • Actor Rajat Kapoor, known for his indie film roles, played the character of Mohan Sachdev, Chandni's initial love interest.
  • The film's music was composed by Anu Malik, but it did not achieve the same popularity as his other hit soundtracks from that era.
  • Despite starring popular TV actress Reema Lagoo, the movie had a very limited theatrical release and low box office earnings.
  • The plot shares similarities with the 1999 Tamil film 'Minsara Kanna', which was also directed by Agathiyan.
  • This was one of the few early 2000s Bollywood films where the female lead's profession and independence were central to the story.
