- Actor Bobby Deol performed many of his own stunts for the action sequences, including scenes involving high falls.
- The movie's soundtrack, composed by Anand Raj Anand, featured a hit song 'Chand Sitare' that became popular at the time.
- Director Raj Kanwar initially considered a different actor for the lead role before finalizing Bobby Deol.
- The story draws loose inspiration from the real-life trauma of the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, using it as a backdrop for the protagonist's origin.
- The film faced criticism for its violent content, which was considered intense for a mainstream Bollywood release at the time.
- Despite a moderate box office performance, it developed a cult following for its revenge drama theme and Bobby Deol's performance.
