Trivia

  • This was one of the few Hindi films set in a contemporary Western genre, a rare style for Bollywood in the early 90s.
  • The film's music composer, Anu Malik, reused his own tune 'Tumse Milne Ko Dil Karta Hai' from the 1990 film 'Dil' for a song here.
  • Actor Shafi Inamdar, who played Aamir Khan's father, was only about 13 years older than Aamir Khan in real life.
  • The movie was released the same year as Aamir Khan's superhit 'Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar', so it got less attention.
  • Director S.A. Kader was primarily known for directing Tamil and Telugu films; this was one of his few Hindi directorial ventures.
  • The plot involving eloping lovers stumbling upon a dangerous stranger shares similarities with Hollywood thrillers of the era.
  • Despite starring popular young stars Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla, the film was not a major commercial success.
