Trivia

  • The film's director Tahir Hussain is the father of actor Aamir Khan, though Aamir was not involved in this project.
  • It was one of the few Bollywood films of its time to heavily feature snake charming and shape-shifting serpent mythology.
  • The movie's special effects for the snake transformations were considered ambitious for early 90s Hindi cinema.
  • Actress Juhi Chawla, who played Paro, was a major star at the time, having recently won the Miss India title.
  • The soundtrack included music by composer Anu Malik, who was early in his career but later became very famous.
  • Despite its fantasy elements, the film performed poorly at the box office compared to other releases that year.
  • Some filming reportedly took place in rural Rajasthan to capture the village and desert settings authentically.
