Trivia

  • This was one of the first Bollywood horror films to be shot extensively in a real, decrepit cemetery to heighten the eerie atmosphere.
  • The film's director, Mohan Bhakri, was primarily known for directing B-grade action and horror films throughout the 1980s.
  • Actor Puneet Issar, who plays a key role, was also a popular stuntman and action director in Hindi cinema at the time.
  • The movie's special effects, considered graphic for its era, were created using practical makeup and simple camera tricks.
  • Despite its horror theme, the film includes several musical numbers, which was a standard expectation for Bollywood movies then.
  • It is sometimes noted for its dramatic plot twist involving the 'buried alive' trope, a concept less common in Hindi horror of that period.
  • The film had a very limited theatrical release and later gained a cult following through video cassette rentals in small towns.
