Storyline

Set against the raw backdrop of Madurai and Chennai's underbelly, G. Kamaraj's *Vilai* follows Nandhu, a jobless but fiercely protective young man whose world shatters when his sister Vandana is kidnapped by a trafficking ring moments after arriving in Chennai to pursue her education. Teaming up with a haunted police officer who carries his own devastating connection to the same criminal network, Nandhu plunges into a desperate hunt that exposes a sprawling prostitution racket led by a ruthless female don operating across state lines. Fuelled by D. Imman's pulse-pounding score, this gritty Tamil drama channels real anger about the exploitation of women into a sibling bond that refuses to break.

A village fights for its future.
