  • Naseeruddin Shah's character Rajoo was a rare early comic role for the actor, who is more famous for intense dramatic performances.
  • The film's music was composed by Laxmikant-Pyarelal, but it did not produce any major hit songs unlike many of their other scores.
  • Actress Rameshwari made her Hindi film debut with this movie, having previously worked in Gujarati cinema.
  • The supporting cast features several popular comedy actors of the era like Jagdeep, Rajendra Nath, and Mukri in a single film.
  • Despite a cast of notable character actors, the film was not a major commercial success and is relatively obscure today.
  • The storyline involves a blind flower seller, a common melodramatic trope in Indian cinema of the 1970s and 1980s.
