Trivia
- The film's title 'Puli Varudhu' translates to 'The Tiger Arrives', but the story has no connection to tigers, possibly hinting at a metaphorical arrival of courage or change.
- Director G. V. Kumar was primarily known as a producer and distributor; this was one of his few directorial ventures in a long career.
- Actor Githan Ramesh, the lead, is the son of veteran actor-director Manivannan, who also plays his father in the film, creating a real-life parallel.
- The movie features a cameo by popular comedian Santhanam, who appears in a comedy track separate from the main storyline.
- Parts of the film were shot in Pollachi and surrounding rural areas to capture the authentic village wedding setting depicted in the plot.
- The soundtrack by composer Srikanth Deva includes a song filmed on lead actor Githan Ramesh and actress Sana Khan, who was a former Miss India.
- Despite its ensemble cast and family drama premise, the film performed modestly at the box office and remains a lesser-known work from that year.
