Trivia
- The film's director Sumit Singh reportedly used real smog from Delhi's air in some scenes to create a more authentic atmosphere.
- Many of the child actors in the slum scenes were actual residents of Delhi's low-income neighborhoods, not professional actors.
- The portable air purifier prop became a symbol and was auctioned after filming, with proceeds donated to an asthma charity.
- A significant portion of the film's budget was allocated for special effects to digitally enhance the pervasive smog visuals.
- The movie's score incorporates ambient sounds recorded in Delhi, like traffic and street vendors, mixed with traditional instruments.
- It was shot almost entirely on location in Delhi during the winter, which is the city's peak pollution season.
- The title 'One Percent' is a direct reference to the small fraction of Delhi's population that can easily afford clean air solutions.
