Trivia
- The film's director, Jitank Singh Gurjar, is a first-time feature filmmaker who previously worked as an assistant director on several independent projects.
- To portray the Maha Kumbh accurately, the crew filmed with hidden cameras during the actual 2025 pilgrimage to capture real crowd reactions.
- The elderly couple is played by veteran stage actors who had never acted in a mainstream Hindi film before this project.
- The movie's budget was very low, so many village scenes were shot in the director's own hometown with local residents as extras.
- A special focus was given to sound design to contrast the quiet village life with the overwhelming noise of the Kumbh Mela gathering.
- The script was partly inspired by real news reports about families traveling to large pilgrimages for personal solace.
- The title 'In Search of The Sky' is a metaphor for the characters' quest for freedom and peace from their earthly struggles.
