Trivia
- The film's title 'Close Door' was inspired by a real-life incident where the director felt trapped in his own apartment during a power outage.
- Lead actor Rajat Barmecha prepared for his role by spending 48 hours alone in a locked room with no phone or internet.
- The apartment set was built on a soundstage with movable walls to allow for dynamic camera angles during tense scenes.
- Director Ashutosh Nayak cited the 1990s horror classic 'Bhoot' as a key influence for the film's atmospheric tension.
- The movie was shot entirely at night to maintain a consistent eerie lighting and mood throughout production.
- This was the first Hindi horror film to be shot using only practical effects, avoiding CGI for ghostly appearances.
- The film's climax was rewritten three times based on feedback from test audiences to increase its shock value.
