Trivia

  • Director Yohith Reddy reportedly drew inspiration from real-life stories of non-English speakers facing language barriers in competitive environments.
  • The character Sarakka's distinctive costumes were designed to subtly transition from traditional 'don' attire to more formal, IELTS-appropriate clothing as the story progresses.
  • A key comedy sequence involving mispronunciations during IELTS practice was improvised by the lead actress during rehearsals and added to the final script.
  • The film's promotional campaign included a viral social media challenge where fans posted videos of themselves attempting to speak English in exaggerated accents.
  • Several scenes were shot at a real IELTS testing center in Hyderabad with special permission, marking one of the first times a Telugu film used an actual exam location.
  • The soundtrack features a rare comedy rap song about grammar rules, composed by a popular Telugu music director known for experimental tracks.
