Trivia

  • The film's title 'Cheddi' refers to the masks worn by the gang, which are based on the popular cheese snack brand Cheetos.
  • Director Sampath Nandi initially conceived the story as a short film before expanding it into a full-length feature.
  • The movie was shot extensively in real locations across Hyderabad to capture the city's authentic urban atmosphere.
  • Actor Sree Vishnu, who plays Johnny, performed many of his own stunts during the action sequences.
  • The spoken English class setting was inspired by real-life language coaching centers common in many Indian cities.
  • Despite being an action-comedy, the film incorporates subtle social commentary on unemployment and quick-money schemes.
  • The climax sequence required three nights of shooting at a specially constructed set to achieve the chaotic 'tamasha' (spectacle).
