Trivia
- The film's title is a nod to Guru Dutt's classic 'Kaagaz Ke Phool', but the story is an original modern drama.
- It was primarily shot in a single, historic cinema hall in Mumbai to maintain an authentic projection booth setting.
- The lead actor spent two weeks learning to operate a real 35mm film projector for his role.
- The soundtrack uses a rare, re-recorded version of a 1960s Hindi film song to mirror the protagonist's nostalgia.
- Despite its drama genre, the film includes subtle cameos of famous Bollywood tragedy posters in the theatre scenes.
- The director cited the Italian film 'Cinema Paradiso' as a key visual influence for the projectionist's story.
- It was an independent production and had a limited theatrical release, focusing later on festival circuits.
