→Trivia
- The film was originally set to star Preity Zinta and Saif Ali Khan, but Saif dropped out and was replaced by Rhehan Malliek.
- It was the first Hindi film to be shot entirely in Paris after the 2008 terrorist attacks in the city.
- Prem Raj, the director, also co-wrote the story with his wife, who makes a cameo appearance in the film.
- The movie's title uses a stylised spelling of 'Ishq' (love) to include the initials of the lead characters, Ishkq and Akash.
- Despite being a romantic comedy, it includes a subplot referencing the real-life 2008 Mumbai attacks.
- The film had a very limited theatrical release and was quickly pulled from cinemas due to poor box office performance.
- Preity Zinta returned to acting after a four-year break with this film, which she also co-produced.
