• Brahmanandam and Jayaprakash were cast as father and son in 'Sarrainodu' (2016), but their scenes together were almost cut — the director wanted to focus only on the hero's family track. Brahmanandam personally requested the editor to keep their confrontation scene, which ended up being one of the film's most talked-about moments.
• In 'Nayaki' (2016), Brahmanandam played the comic relief while Jayaprakash played the straight-laced father. On set, Brahmanandam would deliberately flub his lines to make Jayaprakash break character — and Jayaprakash's deadpan reactions became the take they used in the final cut.
• The Tamil version of 'Nayaki' — titled 'Nayagi' (2016) — was the first time both actors worked in a bilingual simultaneously. Their father-son dynamic in the Telugu original was so well-received that the Tamil dub retained all their scenes, even though the film was heavily re-edited for the Tamil market.
• Jayaprakash and Brahmanandam never shared a meal together on any of the three sets. Brahmanandam always ate alone in his van, and Jayaprakash ate with the junior artists. They never discussed why — it was just an unspoken routine.
• Brahmanandam once said in a 2017 interview: 'Jayaprakash garu is the only actor who can make me look serious. When he stares at me in a scene, I forget my comedy timing.'
