• Sriman was the one who pushed for Kovai Sarala to play the comic sidekick in Kanchana 2. He told director Raghava Lawrence she'd nail the timing. Lawrence was skeptical at first — Sarala was mostly known for slapstick in the 90s — but Sriman insisted. That film rebooted her career in horror-comedy.
• In Motta Shiva Ketta Shiva, Sriman deliberately slowed down his delivery in every scene with Sarala. He knew she needed space to land her punchlines. She'd then speed up her retorts, creating a rhythm that made their banter feel like a real argument. The director let them run the takes long because of this back-and-forth.
• Utharavu Maharaja (2018) was a surprise hit — it ran over 100 days in B and C centres. That success directly led to a wave of small-budget horror-comedies pairing older comedians with younger male leads.
