• Sathyasiva cast Leesha Eclairs in 'Madai Thiranthu' (2017) after seeing her in a short film — but she almost lost the role because she couldn't swim. The director made her take crash swimming lessons for a week before shooting the river sequence.
• On the set of '1945' (2017), Sathyasiva realized Leesha could deliver long, single-take emotional monologues without cuts. He started writing her scenes that way — no close-ups, just her holding frame for minutes. That became her signature in both 1945 films.
• Between the two '1945' films, Sathyasiva and Leesha didn't speak for nearly three years. A creative disagreement during post-production of the 2017 version led to a fallout. They only reconciled when a mutual friend forced them into a room to finish the 2022 cut.
• The 2022 version of '1945' directly inspired a wave of low-budget Tamil indie films shot in single locations with two-hander casts. At least three filmmakers at the 2023 Chennai International Film Festival cited it as the reason they made their debut features.
• Leesha Eclairs once said in a 2022 interview: 'Sathyasiva doesn't direct actors — he traps them in a moment and waits for something real to happen. I hated it during 'Madai Thiranthu'. Now I can't work any other way.'
