• On the sets of Magadheera, Rajamouli made Ram Charan rehearse the climax sword fight for 45 days straight. The actor had to learn Kalaripayattu from scratch. Rajamouli later said that Charan's physical dedication turned a good scene into an iconic one.
• The success of Magadheera directly launched the trend of high-budget period action films in Telugu cinema. Before it, no one spent ₹40 crore on a Telugu film. After it, every major star wanted a period epic.
