• Aishwarya Dutta was cast opposite Aruldoss in Paayum Puli (2015) only after the director saw her in a small Telugu film. She later said Aruldoss’s screen presence made her feel safe during the intense action sequences.
• In Sathriyan (2017), Aruldoss played a menacing villain while Aishwarya played his love interest. Their scenes together had a raw tension because Aruldoss deliberately stayed in character between takes, and Aishwarya matched his intensity by refusing to break eye contact.
• Vennela Kabadik Kuzhu 2 (2019) became a surprise hit, and the film’s success directly led to a spinoff web series focused on the village comedy track — a first for Tamil cinema at the time. Aishwarya and Aruldoss’s comic timing in that film was the template for the spinoff.
