• Kaali Venkat was the one who pushed for Kabir Duhan Singh to be cast in Aruvam (2019). The director was unsure about a non-Tamil actor playing a key role, but Venkat personally vouched for him after seeing his work in a Telugu film.
• On the sets of Aruvam, Kaali Venkat would deliberately mess up his lines in Tamil to make Kabir laugh — it broke the ice and helped Kabir relax into his character. Kabir later said Venkat's goofing around was the only reason he didn't feel like an outsider.
• After Aruvam wrapped, Kaali Venkat invited Kabir Duhan Singh home for a home-cooked meal. That became a ritual — every time they shot together, Venkat's wife would cook a full Tamil meal for Kabir, who is a vegetarian and struggled to find proper food on set.
• Kabir Duhan Singh once said in an interview: 'Kaali is the only co-star who made me feel like I wasn't acting. He'd just look at me and I'd forget the camera was there.'
