• Bonda Mani was a stunt coordinator before he turned actor. Crane Manohar specifically asked for him to play the villain in Nellu (2010) because he wanted a real fighter on screen — not a trained actor pretending to throw a punch.
• In E.P.Co 302 (2021), Manohar and Mani shot a single-take chase sequence that ran 4 minutes. Mani set the pace — he was the one running backwards, leading Manohar through the narrow lanes. Manohar later said he just followed Mani's breathing to stay in rhythm.
• Between takes on Muthal Manithan (2022), the two would sit and share a single cigarette — even though neither of them smoked regularly. It was a ritual they started on Nellu and kept for every film together.
• Bonda Mani once said in a small interview: 'Crane Manohar doesn't act with you. He fights with you. Every scene is a real fight. That's why I never felt like I was acting with him — I was actually angry.'
