• Kushboo was the one who pushed for Suresh Krishna to direct her in 'Annamalai' (1992). She had seen his earlier work and told producer Rajam Balachander that he was the right guy for the job. That film became a blockbuster and launched their pair.
• On the sets of 'Vedan' (1993), Suresh Krishna would let Kushboo improvise her dialogue in emotional scenes. She often rewrote her lines on the spot, and he kept the camera rolling. That raw, unpolished energy is what made their scenes together feel so real.
• During the shoot of 'Rojavai Killathe' (1993), Kushboo and Suresh Krishna had a running bet: whoever flubbed a line first had to buy the entire crew biryani. Kushboo lost most days, but she never complained — she said it kept the set loose and fun.
