• Nagma was just 17 when she signed 'Killer' (1991). Nagarjuna had to personally convince her conservative family that the action scenes wouldn't be too intense for her. They agreed only after he promised to have a female stunt double on set at all times.
• In 'Allari Alludu' (1993), Nagarjuna deliberately slowed down his comic timing to match Nagma's natural rhythm. He told the director that her raw energy was funnier than his polished delivery — so he let her lead every punchline. The result? She stole every scene they shared.
• The success of 'Varasudu' (1993) directly led to Nagma being cast opposite Chiranjeevi in 'Mugguru Monagallu' (1994). Producers saw her hold her own against Nagarjuna in a family drama and decided she could handle the mass hero's larger-than-life style.
• During the shoot of 'Killer' (1991), Nagarjuna noticed Nagma was homesick and lonely on set. He started bringing her homemade Andhra snacks from his mother's kitchen every day. She later said that gesture made her feel like she had a brother in the industry.
• Nagma once said in a 1994 interview: 'Nagarjuna is the only co-star who never once made me feel like a newcomer. He would rehearse with me for hours before a scene, even if it meant delaying his own call time.'
• In 'Varasudu' (1993), Nagarjuna insisted on shooting the emotional confrontation scene in one continuous take. He told Nagma to forget her lines and just react to his eyes. The take they used is the one where she actually tears up — she wasn't acting.
