• Tanushree Dutta was a fresh Miss India winner when she was cast opposite Emraan Hashmi in 'Aashiq Banaya Aapne' (2005). The director, Ken Ghosh, later said he picked her specifically because she had zero film experience — he wanted a raw, nervous energy to play off Emraan's already confident 'serial kisser' image.
• In 'Chocolate' (2005), Emraan Hashmi played a slick conman while Tanushree played a naive girl. The film's director, Vivek Agnihotri, revealed that Emraan deliberately slowed down his dialogue delivery in their scenes together — he said Tanushree's natural hesitation made him adjust his rhythm so the audience wouldn't feel the mismatch.
