• Nikki Galrani was cast in Yagavarayinum Naa Kaakka (2015) only after the director saw her in a Malayalam film. Aadukalam Naren, already a known face in Tamil cinema, was brought in to play a key supporting role — and their first scene together was shot in a single take because both actors were so locked in.
• In Velainu Vandhutta Vellaikaaran (2016), Naren played a strict father figure while Nikki played his daughter. Naren deliberately stayed in character between takes — never smiling at her — to keep the tension real. Nikki later said that made her genuinely nervous in their scenes, which the director loved.
