• Before Raa Raa (2018), neither had headlined a comedy caper together. Director R. N. R. Manohar paired them specifically because he wanted two actors who could trade insults without sounding rehearsed — he said their natural bickering rhythm saved the script.
• In Bhagya Nagara Veedhullo Gammathu (2019), Shankar played the straight man while Chandra did all the physical comedy. But on set, they swapped roles during rehearsals — Chandra would run the lines straight, and Shankar would improvise the slapstick. The director kept the takes where they switched.
• During the shoot of Unstoppable (2023), Shankar and Chandra shared a hotel room to save budget. They reportedly stayed up every night rewriting each other's dialogues — the film's best one-liners came from those 2 AM sessions, not the original script.
• Chammak Chandra once said in a 2023 interview: 'Shakalaka and I don't act together — we fight on screen and laugh off it. That's why our hits feel like real arguments.'
• Their back-to-back hits in 2018 and 2019 convinced producers that a double-hero comedy with two character actors could open big. Directly inspired by their success, at least three similar buddy-comedy projects were greenlit in 2020 — though none matched their box office.
