• Bobby Deol personally recommended Ameesha Patel for the lead in Humraaz (2002) after the director, Abbas-Mustan, were struggling to finalize the female lead. He had just worked with her in Kranti and felt she had the right mix of glamour and intensity for the noir thriller.
• In Humraaz, Ameesha Patel’s character is the one manipulating Bobby Deol’s character — but off-camera, she said Bobby would deliberately break character mid-scene to make her laugh, forcing her to stay sharp and not rely on a straight-faced performance.
