• For Manasu Mamata (1990), Naresh was already a known face. Sithara was a newcomer. Director K. Vasu paired them specifically because he wanted a fresh, innocent-looking heroine to balance Naresh's more experienced energy.
• In Aravindha Sametha (2018), Naresh played a much older, subdued father figure to Sithara's character. Their age gap — which was barely noticeable in 1990 — became the emotional anchor of the film. Sithara later said Naresh's calmness on set helped her deliver her most restrained performance.
