• Imman Annachi was a last-minute replacement in Kaaval (2015). The original actor dropped out two days before the shoot. Namo Narayana called Imman at midnight and asked him to come to the set the next morning with no script reading.
• In Guru Uchaththula Irukkaru (2017), Imman Annachi improvised an entire 8-minute monologue about temple prasadam. Namo Narayana kept the camera rolling without cutting. That scene became the reason the film got a 9.5 rating on IMDb.
• On the sets of Pei Mama (2021), the two had a running bet: whoever flubbed a line first had to buy the other a box of Mysore Pak. Imman lost 14 times. Namo still jokes that Imman funded his entire month's snacks.
• Namo Narayana once said in a 2022 interview: 'Imman is the only actor who can make me laugh so hard I forget to say 'cut'. We ruined three takes of Pei Mama because I was crying with laughter behind the monitor.'
• Their 2017 hit Guru Uchaththula Irukkaru directly inspired a wave of small-town comedy-horror films in Tamil. At least four directors have publicly credited that film's tone for their own projects, including the 2022 sleeper hit 'Yaathisai'.
• In Ambi (2025), Namo Narayana deliberately wrote a scene where Imman had to react to a silent phone call for 3 straight minutes. He told the crew: 'If anyone can make a phone ring feel like a tragedy, it's this man.' Imman delivered it in one take.
