• Pooja Bhatt was the one who got Atul Agnihotri his first big break. She recommended him to her father Mahesh Bhatt for the lead in 'Sir' (1993) after seeing him in a theater workshop. Atul had been struggling for years before that call.
• On the sets of 'Naaraaz' (1994), Pooja would deliberately mess up her lines to make Atul laugh during intense scenes. She said it was the only way to break his nervous energy — he was too stiff otherwise. The director eventually started using their banter in the final cut.
• After 'Guneghar' (1995) flopped, Atul stopped getting acting offers. Pooja quietly called producers for months trying to get him cast in other projects. She never told him until years later, when he mentioned feeling abandoned by the industry.
• Their last film together, 'Sanam Teri Kasam' (2009), was the only one that made money. It directly led to Atul producing his own films — he used the profits to launch his production house. Without that hit, he might never have become a producer.
