• Manobala and Chaams first teamed up for Motta Shiva Ketta Shiva (2017) because the director, Sri Ganesh, wanted a comedian who could also play a serious role. Chaams was initially hesitant to take on a negative shade, but Manobala convinced him over a single phone call that lasted two hours.
• In Saravanan Irukka Bayamaen (2017), Manobala deliberately slowed down his delivery to match Chaams' deadpan timing. Chaams later said that Manobala would pause mid-dialogue just to let his reactions land — a rhythm they never rehearsed, just felt on set.
• During the shoot of Yutha Satham (2022), Manobala and Chaams shared a room in a budget lodge near the set. Every night, they would watch old Tamil comedies on a laptop — Chaams told a journalist that Manobala would narrate the behind-the-scenes stories of those films, which he later used as inspiration for his own comic timing.
