• For Rameswaram (2007), director Selvamani cast Jiiva as the lead but needed a strong antagonist. He brought in Bose Venkat, who was mostly known for character roles at the time. That film became the first time these two shared screen space — and it set the template for their next two films together.
• In Ko (2011), Bose Venkat played a ruthless political fixer who constantly outmaneuvers Jiiva's photojournalist. The tension worked because Bose Venkat deliberately slowed his dialogue delivery, forcing Jiiva to react with visible frustration — a trick they rehearsed together before every scene.
