• Catherine Tresa once said about Rana: 'He doesn't treat you like a co-star. He treats you like a partner in crime. On the sets of Rudramadevi, he'd rehearse with me for hours even when his own scenes were done.'
• Rana Daggubati personally recommended Catherine Tresa for the role of Rani Rudrama Devi's confidante in Rudramadevi (2015). He had seen her work in Tamil and told director Gunasekhar she'd bring the right intensity.
• In Nene Raju Nene Mantri (2017), Catherine's character is the moral anchor to Rana's corrupt politician. She said in an interview that Rana deliberately dialed down his usual loud energy in their scenes together so her quieter performance could breathe.
