• Posani Krishna Murali wrote the script for 'Boochamma Boochodu' (2014) specifically for Dhanraj Sukhram after seeing him in a stage play. Dhanraj was hesitant to commit because the role required him to play a mute character for most of the film. Posani convinced him by promising to rewrite the climax around Dhanraj's physical comedy.
• On the sets of '4 Letters' (2019), Posani would deliberately give Dhanraj the wrong dialogue during rehearsals. Dhanraj would catch the mistake and improvise a better line. Posani later admitted this was his way of testing Dhanraj's spontaneity — and the final film used three of those improvised lines.
• The success of '4 Letters' (2019) directly led to Dhanraj being cast as the lead in 'Swayamvadha' (2019) — Posani pushed the producer to greenlight the project by offering to work for free if Dhanraj was the hero. That film became a sleeper hit and revived Dhanraj's career after a string of flops.
• Posani and Dhanraj have a standing bet on every film they make together: if the film gets a rating above 6/10 on any major platform, Dhanraj has to cook a full Andhra meal for Posani's family. After 'Bujji... Ila Raa' (2022) scored 6.2, Dhanraj spent an entire Sunday making gongura pachadi and pulihora at Posani's home.
