• Vamsy cast Jeeva in 'Konchem Touchlo Vunte Cheputanu' (2004) after being impressed by his comic timing in a stage play — but the producer almost rejected Jeeva for being 'too skinny' for a lead hero. Vamsy fought to keep him.
• On the sets of 'Anumanaspadam' (2007), Vamsy would write dialogues in the morning and hand them to Jeeva, who then rewrote his own lines in colloquial Telugu on the spot. Vamsy loved it — he said Jeeva made the words sound like they came from a real person, not a script.
• The song 'Gundello Godari' from 'Gopi Gopika Godavari' (2009) became a viral hit in villages along the Godavari belt — local cable channels still play it during festivals. It directly inspired a wave of river-themed romantic comedies in Telugu cinema over the next two years.
• Jeeva and Vamsy never had a formal contract for any of their three films. They shook hands on a napkin at a dhaba outside Hyderabad before 'Konchem Touchlo Vunte Cheputanu' and never bothered with paperwork again.
