• Prakash Jha didn't originally write the role of Surya in Raajneeti for Manoj Bajpai. Manoj heard about the script, called Jha directly, and said, 'I want to play this part.' Jha was hesitant because he thought Manoj was too old for the role. Manoj convinced him in a single meeting.
• On the set of Aarakshan, Manoj would deliberately push his dialogue delivery to be faster than Jha's usual rhythm. Jha would then slow him down, forcing Manoj to find the weight in every pause. That push-and-pull became the tense, coiled energy of their scenes together.
• Their collaboration on Chakravyuh directly launched the career of actor Arjun Rampal as a villain. Jha cast him as the antagonist after seeing his work in Raajneeti, and Manoj personally coached Arjun on set for the climactic confrontation scene.
• During the shooting of Satyagraha, Manoj and Prakash Jha had a massive argument over a scene's political tone. They didn't speak for three days.
