• Arshad Warsi was a complete unknown when he was cast opposite Kareena Kapoor in Hulchul (1995). She was already a star kid with a launchpad. He got the role because director Mani Ratnam saw him in a music video — Kareena had no say in the casting, but she later admitted she was nervous acting with someone so raw.
• In Golmaal Returns (2008), Kareena’s character is the straight-laced wife who keeps Arshad’s chaotic energy in check. But off-camera, it was the opposite: Arshad would deliberately mess up his lines to make Kareena laugh, and director Rohit Shetty kept those takes because her genuine irritation made the scenes funnier.
• The Golmaal 3 (2010) climax scene where Arshad and Kareena argue over a stolen necklace was so popular that it inspired a similar bickering-couple template in Rohit Shetty’s later film Chennai Express (2013) — though with different actors. The director admitted he reused the rhythm of their back-and-forth.
