• They first shared screen space in Kroadh (1990) because the director, Shashilal K. Nair, wanted two actors who could convincingly play brothers with a raw, physical edge. Sunny Deol was already a star; Sanjay Dutt was fresh off his own success. Nair bet on their contrasting energies — Sunny's coiled anger and Sanjay's loose, volatile charm — to sell the sibling rivalry.
• In Yodha (1991), their fight scenes worked because they had opposite styles: Sunny would plant his feet and throw heavy, deliberate punches, while Sanjay moved around him like a boxer, using speed and footwork.
