• They first shared screen space in 2007's 'Good Boy, Bad Boy' — a college comedy where Emraan played the 'good boy' and Tusshar the 'bad boy'. The film bombed hard, but the two hit it off so well on set that they decided to work together again immediately.
• In 'The Dirty Picture' (2011), Emraan played the sleazy, ambitious hero while Tusshar played the shy, stammering sidekick. Tusshar later said Emraan's intensity on set made him push his own comic timing harder — Emraan would deliberately go over-the-top in rehearsals so Tusshar had to match his energy.
• During the shoot of 'Anjaam' (2007), Tusshar's father Jeetendra visited the set. Emraan, who was still early in his career, was so nervous meeting the legend that Tusshar had to calm him down by cracking jokes between takes. They've been close friends ever since.
• Tusshar once said in an interview: 'Emraan and I have a weird rhythm — he talks fast, I talk slow. On screen, that clash actually works. He makes me look funnier, I make him look more serious.'
• Their third film together, 'The Dirty Picture', became a blockbuster and directly inspired a wave of biopics about controversial Indian film personalities — including 'Manto' (2018) and 'Main Atal Hoon' (2024). Without their pairing in that film, the trend might have started much later.
