Ahista Ahista is a 2006 Indian Hindi-language romance film directed by Shivam Nair in his feature debut. The film stars Abhay Deol, Soha Ali Khan, and Shayan Munshi. Set in Delhi, the story follows Ankush Ramdev, a poor man who works as a paid witness at marriage registrations. He helps a stranded woman named Megha after her fiancé fails to show up for their wedding. The narrative explores themes of unrequited love, self-discovery, and sacrifice. The film is an adaptation of Fyodor Dostoevsky's 1848 short story White Nights. Critics praised its gentle tone and realistic portrayal of urban loneliness. Storyline
A poor man named Ankush makes a living as a fake witness at Delhi's marriage bureau. He meets Megha, a young woman abandoned by her fiancé on their wedding day. As he helps her build a new life, he falls in love with her. But when her fiancé returns, Megha must choose between the man who saved her and the man she never stopped loving.
