Alag(2006)
Alag (English: Different) is a 2006 Indian Hindi-language science-fiction drama film directed by Ashu Trikha. The film stars Akshay Kapoor as Tejas Rastogi and Dia Mirza as Purva Rana. The story follows a hairless young man with telepathic and electromagnetic powers who is discovered living in a basement after his father's death. He is placed in a rehabilitation institute where he struggles to be accepted. The film was made on a budget of ₹8 crore but earned only ₹56 lakh at the box office, making it a commercial failure. Critics noted its thematic similarities to the 1995 American film Powder. The film features a cameo-filled song sequence with Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, and other celebrities. Alag was released on June 16, 2006.

Storyline
Tejas has spent his entire life locked in a basement because sunlight hurts him. After his father dies, he is discovered by police and sent to a rehabilitation institute. He has incredible mental powers, but everyone fears him. Only Purva, the institute's head, sees the lonely boy behind the powers. When a greedy scientist tries to capture Tejas for experiments, Purva must risk everything to save him.
