Trivia
- This was the only film directed by Babbar Subhash in the 2000s, after a long gap since his 1990s hits.
- Meghna Naidu, who played the bar dancer, was primarily known as a music video artist before this role.
- The film's title is a loose translation of the director's own earlier successful film, 'Dance of Love' (1991).
- Mithun Chakraborty's character name, Ram Gopal Acharya, is a nod to common double names used for hypocritical figures in Hindi cinema.
- The movie was shot quickly, reportedly in a schedule of just a few weeks, which was common for low-budget films of that era.
- Navin Nischol, who played the father, was a leading man in 1970s Bollywood but shifted to character roles later in his career.
- Despite its dramatic plot, the film did not get a wide theatrical release and is largely remembered as a direct-to-video title.
