Trivia
- The film is an official remake of the 1992 Hollywood thriller 'Fear', starring Mark Wahlberg and Reese Witherspoon.
- This was one of the earliest Bollywood films to prominently feature the song 'Aetbaar' by Babul Supriyo and Alka Yagnik, which became a hit.
- Director Vikram Bhatt has stated the film explores a father's paranoia, a theme recurring in several of his thrillers like 'Raaz'.
- Actor John Abraham, who played the antagonist Aryan, was relatively new at the time and this role was a departure from his earlier romantic hero image.
- The movie's climax involving a confrontation on a boat was filmed at a lake location, requiring complex night-shoot logistics.
- Despite a popular soundtrack, the film did not perform well commercially upon its theatrical release in 2004.
- Bipasha Basu and John Abraham, a real-life couple then, were paired together on screen for the first time in this film.
