Murder is a 2004 Indian Hindi-language erotic thriller film directed by Anurag Basu and produced by Mukesh Bhatt. It stars Emraan Hashmi, Mallika Sherawat, and Ashmit Patel in lead roles. The story follows Simran, a lonely housewife who begins an affair with her ex-boyfriend Sunny while married to workaholic Sudhir. Set in Bangkok, Thailand, the film explores themes of betrayal, guilt, and obsession. It is a remake of the American film Unfaithful. Murder received mixed reviews from critics but became a major commercial success, earning super hit status at the box office. The soundtrack, composed by Anu Malik, was the fourth highest-selling album of 2004 in India. The film launched the careers of Hashmi and Sherawat and spawned a franchise with two sequels. It was released on 2 April 2004.

Storyline
Simran is a lonely housewife stuck in a passionless marriage. She meets her ex-boyfriend Sunny and starts a secret affair. Her husband Sudhir discovers the betrayal and confronts Sunny. A violent fight leads to a supposed murder. But nothing is as it seems in this twisted tale of love and revenge.
