'Matrubhoomi: A Nation Without Women' is a 2003 Indian Hindi-language dystopian tragedy film written and directed by Manish Jha. The cast includes Tulip Joshi as Kalki, Sudhir Pandey as Ramcharan, and Sushant Singh as Sooraj. Set in a future Indian village where female infanticide has eliminated all young women, the story follows Kalki, a girl bought and forced into marriage with five brothers. The film examines themes of gender imbalance, polyandry, and bride buying. It won the FIPRESCI Award at the 2003 Venice Film Festival and received critical acclaim for its sensitive handling of women's issues. The film was commercially released on 8 July 2005.

Storyline
