Aashiq(2001)
Aashiq is a 2001 Indian Hindi-language action romance film directed by Indra Kumar. The film stars Bobby Deol and Karisma Kapoor in lead roles. It is a remake of the 1995 Telugu film Gulabi. The story follows Chander, a young man who helps his friend elope, which angers the friend's brother, Inspector Mathur. Pooja, a friend of the bride, falls in love with Chander and begins calling him anonymously as 'dream girl'. Their relationship faces opposition from Pooja's parents, leading to a series of conflicts. A betrayal by Chander's childhood friend Jai results in Pooja being sold to a pimp named Baburao. Chander must fight Baburao and overcome multiple obstacles to rescue Pooja. The film was declared 'average' at the box office, grossing ₹18.75 crore worldwide. It received negative reviews from critics, with Taran Adarsh giving it one out of five stars. The film was released on 26 January 2001.

Storyline
