'Dil Ki Dhadkan' (2000) is a Hindi-language musical romantic drama directed by Dharmesh Darshan. The film stars Shilpa Shetty, Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Mahima Chaudhry in lead roles. It follows Anjali, a wealthy woman forced to marry Ram after her family rejects her poor lover Dev. Years later, a wealthy Dev returns to win her back, creating a love triangle. The film is a loose adaptation of Emily Brontë's 'Wuthering Heights'. It was a commercial success, grossing ₹26 crore worldwide. The soundtrack, composed by Nadeem-Shravan, became the second best-selling album of 2000. Suniel Shetty won the Filmfare Award for Best Villain for his performance. The film released on August 11, 2000, coinciding with India's Independence Day weekend.

Storyline
